Keith graduated from Aberystwyth University, Wales in 2015. He completed the Certificate of Legal Practice in 2016 and was thereafter admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2018.

Keith handles matters relating to capital markets, initial public offering (IPO), advisory, corporate merger and acquisition transactions. Additionally, Keith maintains an active practice in the field of civil litigation and employment for the firm’s corporate clientele.

Keith has experience in sale and purchase transactions involving shares of companies, performing and advising on legal due diligence for public and private companies, advising international foreign law firms on compliance with Malaysian laws which encompasses areas such as internal restructuring, data protection, contract laws and employment matters.

He regularly acts for large public corporates in local capital market transactions, including fundraising rights issuance, fundraising private placement exercise and various acquisition and disposal exercises.

Keith has handled a myriad of employment matters covering contentious and non-contentious employment-related legal issues in areas such as occupational health and safety, employment contracts, employee handbooks and policies, handling of employee data under the Personal Data Protection Act, dismissals and termination of employment, mutual separation agreements and court claims, including constructive dismissals and unfair dismissals. He has also conducted workshops for multinational employers on best practices and employment compliance in Malaysia.

His recent work highlights include the following:

  • Advised on the successful listing of ECA Integrated Bhd on the ACE Market of Bursa Securities Malaysia Berhad which raised RM25.5 mil in IPO proceeds.
  • Acted as the due diligence solicitor and advised a Sarawak-based conglomerate on three simultaneous acquisitions of technology companies which involved a total cash consideration of RM200 million.
  • Advised a fund management company from Copenhagen which established a new office in Kuala Lumpur on its employment agreement and compliance of employment laws in Malaysia.
  • Represented Minetech Resources Berhad in defending an unfair dismissal claim by its former director.
  • Represented the Malaysian subsidiary of an US based cybersecurity company in defending an unfair dismissal claim by its former employee.
  • Advised a Fortune Global 500 company on the compliance of its data center operation in Malaysia with the Occupational Safety and Health laws.

Keith is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin as well as dialects such as Cantonese.
